I absolutely love staying at Anting Villa! Whenever I visit Shanghai, I always choose this hotel. It offers incredible value for the price, with 5-star amenities at 3-star prices. The staff is truly amazing and goes above and beyond to assist guests. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, providing everything I need during my stay. I also appreciate the peaceful location and beautiful garden. With a metro stop just a short walk away, it's easy to explore the city from here. the best hotel experience in Asia!

I can recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, close to all forms of transportation; train, bus and taxi. There are also many restaurants and bars, which were conveniently located nearby to the hotel. The design of the hotel is very colonial, which would be appealing to those seeking an alternative lodging experience.

The water pressure in the shower was weak and the bath tub clogged up easily. The hotel appeared empty and the restaurant closed early or didn't open up to serve people at all.

Nice location; there's always somebody speaking quite good English at the reception desk, and the staff is helpful; rooms are big enough and clean; beds are comfortable; there's a lovely little parrot living in a big cage in the garden near one of the restaurants.

Delux rooms don't have balconies; the flat screen is not flat at all; all the restaurants and bars close at 22-22.30; quite basic service range for this type of a hotel.

Great location in the (former) french concession area. The rooms are getting outdated and not really 4 star.... It's not broken or dirty but not quite ' fresh'. Staff is, well, chinese, but not bad.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Anting Villa Hotel. It is located in a very quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was easy to get a cab and the hotel is conveniently located near a metro station. The surroundings are beautiful, with leafy streets and a calm atmosphere.

The internet connection at the hotel was quite slow, which was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is nice and clean, the rooms are reasonably well appointed and beds comfortable.

I paid more this time for a "Deluxe" Queen room - but its exactly the same room, with the same cramped little bathroom (and no breakfast!). So its hard to go by price in terms of what you get here. Staff are still indifferent - that appears to be constant.

Desk staff unfriendly to almost rude. Bathroom cramped, power always shuts off quickly when leaving so room is always hot.

we had to argue with the staff becouse at the arriving they told us we had not a reservation in their hotel. They proposed us to stay and discuss the price with the sales manager the day we leave the hotel. we had to negociate the price while we had a reservation with booking

I was put in annex so do not know if rooms are same as in the main building. Some front desk staff rather surly. Carpet in room stained. Duvet far too heavy.

This place is located in a quiet area in a leafy suburb, which is a plus. The French Concession neighborhood is nearby and offers numerous restaurants and bars. The well-kept gardens and large lawn provide a peaceful environment to enjoy. The staff here is great, offering friendly greetings and being very helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are comfortable and kept very clean. The breakfast is excellent, with live dumpling and noodle preparation right in front of you.
